But the Ferrari F430 has a better howl, and the Corvette Z06 a better rumble. Even the Audi RS4, using the same engine as the R8, has a better growl. That's a letdown.

It's more user friendly than competitors, from the Corvette to the Ferrari F430. Getting in and out of it is relatively easy. It rides smoothly and comfortably by sports car standards.

It was announced prior to the 2008 season that Larbre Competition will replace their DBR9's with Saleen S7Rs, while Scuderia Italia will move onto Ferrari F430s. This leaves Prodrive as the only factory team.

60mph, but is so much more intuitive on a winding road that it has to be the one to go for still, though. Both versions max out at a more than respectable 193mph, which puts it into the rarefied company of the Lamborghini Gallardo and Ferrari F430.
The V-8 versions fare worse, surprisingly, earning a 12/19 mpg rating with the manual transmission and 13/18 mpg mark for the automatic. While these numbers can't match the Corvette ZR1 or Nissan GT-R, they blow the Ferrari F430's 11/16 mpg mark out ...
