I have liked the concept of compact sport utilities almost from the time I first encountered a Suzuki Sidekick or Geo Tracker clone. The Samurai was a bit too small.
Just like a Geo Tracker. You put your left tire in, you take your left tire out. This is what makes me so tough. I have a full-grown truck's engine. When you're tough, you don't need those sissy quality materials.
The first-generation Sportage was discontinued in 2002, in favor (for the United States market) of the Sorento. The four-door model comes in just a quarter of one inch longer and the same width as the Geo Tracker, ...
