It replaced a 2003 Honda S2000, which I also loved. With the 330 I got a car that handled as well, if not better, is as fast if not faster, and has a backseat and trunk. The BMW 3 series is still the benchmark.

Pretty well all the engines shown as ‘state-of the-art’ are now well outdated, and don’t look for a quick and easy mathematical solution for fitting extractors to a Honda S2000 - that engine would have been regarded as beyond belief ...

In the $25-30,000-ish sporty convertible marketplace there are plenty of decent contenders, including the 2006 Pontiac Solstice, Honda S2000, Mini Cooper and BMW Z4 2.5.
