The idea of a luxury car from Hyundai might sound absurd, but then so did the concept of a stylish and entertaining sports coupί¿½ ί¿½ until the Korean firm gave us one.
The Hyundai XG300, introduced in the fall of 2000 as a 2001 model, was expected to compete as the value leader against entry-level luxury vehicles like the Acura 3.2 TL, Lexus ES 300 and Infinity I30.
The Hyundai XG350 is a relatively new, yet significant player in the mid-size sedan market. Introduced mid-way through 2003 as a 2004 model, it represents a full-out assault on the Honda Accord EX V6, Toyota Camry LE V6 and new Nissan Maxima 3.5 SE.

Third Generation Azera, then known as the Hyundai XG350
The Grandeur XG was a mid-size luxury car. In some other markets, namely North America, it was called the Hyundai XG. It shared a platform and engines with the Kia Amanti.
The first-generation Kia Amanti was a step up from the Hyundai XG350 upon which it was based, but a step behind the competition in several areas, notably engine performance and refinement. This time around, that has been fixed, in spades.
I'm afraid someone in your office made a mistake. Last week I was delivered a 2004 Hyundai XG350L for an evaluation drive but I think the wrong Monroney sheet was included with the car.
Some of the closest competitors to the L300 sedan include the Buick Regal, the Hyundai XG 350, and the Volvo S40. If overall performance and comfort are the criteria when choosing a car, the 2008 Saturn L300 Sedan fares hands down.
