we were tooking for a lexus rx300 (same platform as the highlander) 2004 or newer, but decided againt it when we drove over 10 of them in Chicago area (all at certified/lexus dealers) but didn't like the way they shifted.
Toyota furnished to Italdesign-Giugiaro a derivative of its ultimate hybrid system, the one adopted on the Lexus RX 400. On the Volta, the 3.3 liter V6 petrol engine is fitted behind the rear axle and not connected directly to the wheels.
It's in the discussion with the Cadillac SRX and the Lexus RX 350. The Lincoln is quiet, has a solid engine and decent appearance--though it's a bit too close to the Ford Edge in bloodlines. The MKX does win in technology--it's loaded.
Best-in-class emissions of below 150g/km earn the Lexus RX450h our top marks. That it can get close to its claimed fuel economy in real-world conditions, under load, is excellent and real progress compared with its predecessor.

Still offering loads of choices in configuration, it will definitely continue to boost Cadillac's bottom line, and cause fits for one of the segments' most popular entries, the Lexus RX 350.

The 268-hp drivetrain (presumably all-wheel-drive) comes from a 2008 Lexus RX400h, making it a Toyota hybrid arrangement with a 3.3-liter V6 and electric motors plus a CVT transmission.
