As a married man of a certain age, I seldom draw the attention of young women. So imagine my surprise when driving a Maserati Quattroporte recently.

Up against the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the Lexus LS and the Maserati Quattroporte, the Audi S8 has its work cut out to come top of the class. Yes, it's quicker than the previous model but raw straight-line speed doesn't mean class-leading handling.
We think that Ferrari owners who plan on a lot of track time will be better served by the 360 Challenge Stradale than by the 575M GTC (the money saved could go toward a Maserati Quattroporte), ...
It may not post the ultimate handling numbers of an Aston Rapide or Maserati Quattroporte or Porsche Panamera, but the handling is balanced, the ride quality competitive, the look clearly better in one case, and the cost at least $20,000 less.

The Aston Martin Rapide is a four-door, four-seat coupe, which British luxury marque Aston Martin plans to introduce in late 2009 to compete with the Porsche Panamera, Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class, Maserati Quattroporte, and the upcoming Audi A7.
As a point of comparison, a Maserati Quattroporte is 1,990kg, an Audi S8 is 1,940kg, the Bentley Flying Spur 2,475kg and the Mercedes CLS63 and the S63 1,905kg and 2,070kg respectively.
Of all cars, it's most like the Maserati Quattroporte, which has marvelous Ferrari-inspired power and tractable handling to go with its bespoke looks.
