The 2011 Mazda6 is available in four trim levels with two different engines. Four-cylinder models are designated as “i' models and are available in Sport, Touring, Touring Plus and Grand Touring.

Mazda6 competes against an impressive group of midsize sedans. Among them: Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Chevrolet Malibu, Nissan Altima, Volkswagen Jetta, Hyundai Sonata, Kia Optima.
The Mazda6 comes with a choice of two engines: a 2.5-litre four-cylinder with six-speed manual or optional five-speed automatic transmission, and a 3.7-litre V6 with six-speed automatic. Both engines are available in GS or GT trim.
The Mazda6 has had a successful run so far. It has been named ‘Best New Family Car’ twice by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC).

Sharing only the firewall from the previous version, the 2009 Mazda6 is larger in all respects. The monocoque unibody is 6.9-inches longer. The increases in wheelbase and overall length and width have not hurt the driving dynamics whatsoever.
