Thats a smart looking motor, what is it?
The Mazda 6 is a fine car if you're looking for a mid-size family sedan. The V-6 is strong and smooth, the six-speed automatic selects gears smartly and without drama, and the ride is comfortable without being flaccid.
The Mazda 6 is one such model that Ford has no trouble pushing. It is a compact car that really has the size and strength to be a midsize model.
The Mazda 6's blind spot detection is radar-based with the sensors both in the mirror housing and at the leading edge of the rear bumper. The mirror housing sensors help locate target vehicles as they pull alongside.
MAZDA6 SPORT WAGON AND MAZDA 6 FIVE-DOOR:
Filling out the MAZDA6 line in spring of 2004 will be Sport Wagon and Five-Door models.
As I write this, the Mazda 6 is one of five cars shortlisted for the Semperit Irish Car of the Year 2003, the winner of which will be announced on Thursday. It came second in both the European Car of the Year 2003 and the Danish Car of the Year 2003.

The Fusion is based on the first generation Mazda 6 chassis and has luckily inherited lots of zoom-zoom from its corporate sibling.
It competes with at least a dozen cars, including the Honda Accord and Mazda 626. It has to do everything very well in order to stay ahead of the pack. According to David of New York his Altima is exemplary.

We liked the looks of the Mazda 6 when the current model was first released, and the mid-life facelift has only served to underline this view. It gets a restyled front foglight surround, which adopts the swooping theme of the head and taillights.
The Mazda6 is much more than the all-new replacement for the Mazda 626. In fact, it's much more than Mazda's first genuine competitor for the Honda Accord or Toyota Camry, and while that may not be a surprise, it certainly is significant.
Indeed, the Aura has more trunk capacity than what's offered by the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord or Mazda 6. Liftover height is high, however.
If the upcoming TSX wagon becomes available with a manual, I4 or V6, I'll buy one to replace my 5spd V6 2004 Mazda 6 (which has been a great car, by the way).

A Camry V-6 cracks six seconds to 60 (5.8) and covers the quarter-mile in 14.3 at 99. A Mazda 6 s Grand Touring sedan with V-6 power hits 60 mph in 6.1. And both V-6 cars with automatics are quicker in the 5-to-60-mph street-start sprint.
Some roadside pundits dismissed the styling as derivative, muttering about Honda Civics and Mazda 6s.

As far as I know the exhaust was fairly stock. So are there any combinations of diameter or length that can improve the sound. eg my standard Mazda 626 V6 sounds like crap. I've loved the articles over the years, Thanks for the stories.
