A really fun car, but not very practical. We owned ours for almost 2 years, really enjoyed it, but it was our only car and was not suitable for everything.

Mini Cooper is the shortest car sold in America, but its larger on the inside than on the outside. It totes four adults in surprisingly good comfort, even leaving room for stuff.

The Mini Cooper hardtop with conventionally-aspirated engine comes with air conditioning, CD stereo with six speakers, wired for auxiliary input and 6-disc CD changer, power windows with auto-down, power locks, ...

The Mini Cooper can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a Constant Velocity Transmission (CVT) automatic, a stepless pleasant enough manner of going, but the 5-speed is so nice it makes learning to shift for yourself worth the tiny effort.

Our 2011 Mini Cooper Countryman is keeping us busy during its last days in the fleet. A couple weeks back the Mini first delivered a cold start check-engine light. So we dropped by the Mini dealership just to learn "it'll do that." ...

This is BMW at work, the quiet maestro that marks this car apart from French and Far Eastern competition.

Others, like the Mini Cooper, proved that retro cars can look like the past and drive like the present.

I regularly got 40 MPG out of my 2007 Mini Cooper (6 Spd) on the highway.
I traded it for a 2010 Prius and haven't gotten less than 50 MPG on any tank of gas since April. And that burns regular!
I'm in the rolling hills of western PA.
