A Mini One with manual top sells for 16,995 in the UK, and a Cooper is 18,500. The power-top option is an extra 1,705 on a Mini One and 1,455 on a Cooper.
For the MINI One D too, we have developed a diesel performance upgrade which delivers 66 kW / 90 HP and takes the maximum torque to 220 Nm at 2000 rpm.
The BMW MINI One, Cooper and Cooper S use a Brazilian-built Tritec engine while the MINI One/D uses a Toyota-built diesel engine.

The basic Mini One has a drag coefficient of 0.38, and on the wide-tyred Cooper S, it is more like 0.39. Despite its larger wheels and tyres, the JCW GP has a significantly better Cd of 0.348, roughly a 10 per cent improvement.

By the way, in the United Kingdom, BMW also sells a lesser-equipped MINI One model and it recently revealed plans to launch a 1.4-litre diesel engine version next year, probably just for European markets.
