My wife’s Nissan diesel 4x4 2.7 Terrano 11 P reg rear wheels spin, even on flat grass, wet or not and it is very embarrasing as well as scarey when pulling a horse trailer. Brilliant on road but off road! The 4x4 works so what is the problem?
In 1979 Nissan Motors (not Nissan Diesel, the truck arm) had taken a stake in Motor Iberica, and took complete control in 1987. From then on the company was named Nissan Motor Iberica.
This latest version is big news in the ranks, as the sturdy Nissan diesel which powered its predecessor has been replaced by Ford's 89bhp 2.4-litre Duratorq oil-burner.
Hopefully the turbo troubles that dogged the old 2.2 will not reappear in the new 2.0 litre Nissan diesel engines. And on the evidence of the Pathfinder and Navara that use a bigger version of the engine, such problems should all be in the past.
