ROVER 200 SUSPENSION, SIR?
The story goes that the Rover 827's suspension is too big and beefy for Retirement Rocket, so we want to use parts from a smaller Rover. A 216 GTI or similar.
Although the new Rover 200 (introduced in 1995 and smaller than previous 200 models) had originally been designed as a replacement for the Metro, it was not marketed as such after its launch [3].
I have really fond memories of a Rover 2000TC, and following it, a 2200TC, which were all leather and wood and the last of real style and quality in Rovers until the recent arrival of the 75s.
The MG6 sits somewhere between Ford's Focus and Mondeo in terms of size - a trick that wasn't successfully deployed with the old Rover 200 - but in practice the price tag puts it in competition with the mass of C-segment hatchbacks.
360kg, but having scrapped many vehicles in the past, I am quite sure that this is the sort of weight you would expect for something like a rover 200 or any other small car, not for an MPV. Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated!!! ...
