It seems to have taken Forever to arrive, but the SMART Forfour is finally here. And, as predicted, it’s already got the public pointing. The original SMART City Coupe and the Smart Roadster turned heads. The Forfour does too.
A smart forfour with racing seat belts and a roll cage is sure to pull the crowds to the smart-BRABUS stand in hall 11 at the Essen Motor Show (25 November until 4 December 2005).

So, what’s it like to drive a smart fortwo (that’s fortwo and in for two people, as opposed to the smart forfour model that has a back seat)?
In previous years, European dealers also offered Smart Forfour and Roadster models. The Forfour is a four-door version of the Fortwo and is currently unavailable on the revised chassis. However, it might be reintroduced if there's sufficient demand.
For our money it looks far better than its late and unlamented sister car, the over-priced Smart ForFour, ever did. The cabin is well decently spacious and well finished, although the boot is small.

The car was also developed as a joint programme with DaimlerChrysler, who used the architecture for their new Smart Forfour. And the engines here are all-new, designed in Japan and built in Europe.
