Suzuki's Grand Vitara is a tougher little bugger. It's built on a rear-wheel-drive platform and is available with four-wheel drive, not all-wheel drive, the former distinguished from the latter by its added low-range gearing.

Suzuki's SX4 Crossover is a small wagon that benefits from SUV styling cues. The SX4 is built on a solid platform, and the suspension is tuned to make this crossover more fun to drive than expected from a car with as much functionality.
The 2003 Suzuki Aerio SX Fastback AWD could have been entered in either the wagon or SUV categories. It's like a wagon because of its cavernous trunk space and vertical hatch. It also boasts all-wheel drive for SUV-like capabilities.
Our 2009 Suzuki SX4 rolled past the 20,000-mile mark on the way home yesterday. I missed the big moment because traffic speed was varying wildly between 35 and 70 mph just as the odometer rolled over. I had to wait.
