Once having entered the industry, newcomers have no fixed career path since the interests of one may lie in advising clients whereas another may aspire to managing a team of advisers.

Career paths.
Clusters of occupations/careers that are combined together because the people in them share similar interests and strengths. All paths include a variety of occupations requiring different levels of education and training.

A career path is like long term personal relationships in many ways, and our relationship style comes out in the relationship with our careers in various ways.
