If you're an entry-level candidate with little or no professional experience, your education should be presented immediately after the Qualifications Summary and/or skills area.

You don't need a formal education to be a salesman -- you need a brass personality and thick skin.

This section always goes first on your resume, as long as you are in school.

Education
You should list all high school or post secondary educational institutions where you have studied - the most recent education being listed first. Include subject options taken in each year of your course.

Education - Certain education expenses can be deducted if they either maintain or enhance skills needed in your current field of work.

Education/Qualifications
Only list the most important qualifications. If you are a graduate you do not really need to include lesser qualification (unless you feel that they are important for the job you are applying for).

Education and certification
Know the name and city of the schools you attended and the year you received your degrees and the name, level, and award and renewal dates of certification.

List education in reverse chronological order, degrees or licenses first, followed by certificates and advanced training. Set degrees apart so they are easily seen. Put in boldface whatever will be most impressive.

EDUCATION: List the degree and major first, followed by the date the degree was received or expected date. On the second line, list the university. List minors or second majors. Include junior college or Education Abroad Program if relevant.

A graduate education is a very intensive course of study. In a master degree program students study a very narrow and specific coursework that gets into the meat of the subject matter rather than merely hitting the highlights.

Continuing education shows that you care about life-long learning and self-development, so think about any relevant training since your formal education was completed. Relevant is the key word here.

Fields such as education, entertainment, and healthcare still offer opportunity. And no one in search of a stable job with good pay and benefits should overlook the chance to work for Uncle Sam or state and local governments.
