Beef up portrayal of accomplishments and transferable skills. Be sure to spotlight skills that apply to what you want to do upon graduation.

Many job seekers are accustomed to placing a career objective at the top of their resume to explain why they are applying for a position.

With your qualifications and perhaps the help of a friend, you have secured your opportunity to sell yourself. Your ability to connect with the interviewer can cinch the job.

Impressive qualifications and expansive experience does not necessarily guarantee that you will get the job.

Specific Skills/Qualifications: It's perfectly okay if some parts of your letter are the same from cover letter to cover letter. But you need to be very specific when describing your skills and qualifications.

Explain how your past experience and qualifications will help you to do the job.
Your consultant will have explained how your background and experience fit the employer's specifications. Include specific factors that qualify you for this position.

Step Eleven: Related Qualifications
At the bottom of your resume, think about anything else that might qualify you for your job objective. This includes licenses, certifications, affiliations, and sometimes even interests if they truly relate.

An effective opening would also get the employer's interest by touching on your qualifications or skills. Example:

Perhaps include a "Qualifications Brief" or "Value Offering" at the top of your resume. This should summarise your key selling points in no more than two concise sentences so that employers can quickly see what you have to offer.
