Asian Shorthair
Asian Shorthair is actually a generic term, which refers to an entire group of cats. The cats in the "Asian Group" are all of Burmese type, but of varying colors and patterns.

The coat itself should be short, fine and close lying in the Asian Shorthair. All the Asian colours can be subject to the Burmese colour restriction gene.
The Asian Semi-Longhair is a cat breed similar to the Asian Shorthair except they have semi-long hair instead of short hair . These cats are normally known by the name Tiffanie .
They are essentially very much like the Asian Shorthair cat breed, only instead of having short hair, they have medium-long hair.

However, a small group of breeders were determined to achieve recognition for these attractive cats, and the Tiffanies slowly gained more admirers despite a much slower progress in comparison with the Burmilla and other Asian Shorthairs.
