Australian Mist Description
There is nothing extreme about the Australian Mist; they are of moderate size, medium boned, rounded of head with large eyes and ears. The coat is short but resilient; the tail is plumply furred.

The Mist is a well-balanced cat of moderate type, with no tendency to extremes in any characteristic. Facial expression is open and generous.

The Australian Mist, is a breed of cat developed in Australia in the late 1970s.

The Australian Mist is a medium sized cat with a rounded head and medium to large green eyes. The short coat has a pattern of spots or marbling against a darker background. The legs and tail are barred and the face is lined.

You will commonly find the Australian Mist entered into cat competitions around the world and this has been the case for over 20 years.

Description / History
The Australian Mist (formerly the Spotted Mist) was developed in Australia.

Australian Mists are said to be outstandingly affectionate and gentle. They are excellent with children and are very obliging when called upon to participate in games.

Truda Straede of Nintu Cattery began creating the Traditional Australian Mist over a period of more than twenty years. Strict regulations, sound selection and defined husbandry added to a broad genetic base.

The Australian Mist (formerly known as the Spotted Mist) was developed in Australia, and is descended from the Burmese, Abyssinian, and domestic shorthair. Its alert and friendly personality combines qualities of all three.
