The shoulder markings form the outline of a butterfly when viewed from above. Both upper and lower "wings" should be clearly defined in outline with the central areas broken by small areas of ground colour.

The head should be barred with frown marks, "M" pattern, extending between the ears and down the back of the neck to meet the "butterfly" on the shoulders, which divides the head lines from the spine lines.
