WHY WERE THEY DECLAWED?

Very expensive to have it done correctly you say.
But Nancy is was NOT done correctly,being done correctly would be not being done AT ALL.
So WHY was it done?

 


Declawed: Surgically removing claws. Not allowed to enter competition.
Dehydration: Loss of water from the tissues.
Demodex: A mite that can cause mange.

Declawed cats.
Cats which show obvious and acute signs of bad health. The final decision rests with the officiating veterinary surgeon.
Cats showing lack of cleanliness, e.g. dirty ears, presence of parasites.

Declawed cats often compensate with their rear claws; many can still climb well, although their ability to defend themselves is often impaired and they should not be allowed outside without supervision.

Thats ashame you had him declawed. Thats like having your fingers clipped at the first knuckle, for you. Thats how they do the declawing. I admit, i had declawed in the past, too, but I learned better ways to take care of my cats.

Both are declawed in the front as well. I got my bengal to help save my older cat from the newer one as he is a spaz.

Some breeders will not allow kittens to be declawed. Some breeders will only sell to homes where the kitten will be kept in the house and never allowed outside.

This is especially true for kittens and declawed cats. A cat seeks out warm spots to nap, which is why it will climb on a refrigerator.

It also allows cats to deposit secretions from glands located between their toes. Even declawed cats go through the scratching ritual; they're actually depositing their secretions. Provide your cat with a scratching post to protect your furniture.

The are more dog like than cat like, they follow you where ever you go, come to you when you call them, and even like to play fetch. They are a indoor cat and can not be declawed.. they play very soft pawed and only use their claws in self defense.

Any type of cat can be entered, long hair, short hair, old, young(at least 4 months old). If older than 8 months they must be neutered or spayed They can not be declawed or devocalized. They are judged on health, disposition and "purrsonality".
