A Desert Lynx (Felis catus x rufus) is a type of cat, that results from the pairing of a domestic cat (Felis catus) Pixie-Bob with a bobcat hybrid (Lynx rufus). The desert lynx must be at least 12.5% bobcat.
The Desert Lynx is similar in appearance to a wild bobcat. There are, however, some differences. The wild bobcat has a thinner body than the Desert Lynx and also possesses much longer legs.

The Desert Lynx Cat is the exotic result of pairing the wild, feral blood of the bobcat with the affectionate, loving temperament of the domestic cat.
The Desert Lynx is a wild cat hybrid, a cross between the American Bobcat and a domestic cat; one of the following: American Lynx, Maine Coon, American Bobtail, Pixie-Bob or Manx.
Caracals are also known by the name Desert Lynx and are primarily from North Africa and Southwest Asia. Caracals often hiss, which can be alarming to some people. They can range from 15-45 lbs.
