Diarrhea in Cats: Causes, Symptoms and Treatment
Diarrhea is a common health problem observed in cats. There is nothing much to worry about if it's just a stomach upset, but it would call for medical help if diarrhea continues for long.

A pet with diarrhea has looser or more watery feces than normal and sometimes more frequent stools as well.

If not it's probably a sign of diarrhea which may be a sign of bad health. Check its gums for signs of inflammation. The kitten with a warm nose or runny eyes should be avoided. Its ears should be clean and free of wax.

Things to look for include indicating illness include drastic mood changes, vomiting, diarrhea and straining while urinating. Particularly, you should be wary of diarrhea (watery stools).

Symptoms include weakness, lack of appetite, weight loss, fever, and diarrhea. FeLV may compromise the immune system, leaving the cat unable to fight off any infection or disease. FeLV can also cause cancer in some felines.

My angora has had a problem with diarrhea since after being weaned, and so far, even with vet treatments, I can't seem to help her get rid of it. If anyone knows a suggestion, please advise.

Telltale signs include withdrawal, listlessness, unresponsiveness, sneezing, eye discharge, rapid breathing, unsteady balance, diarrhea, excessive fur or hair loss, red spots or ulcers in the mouth, and mites or brown discharge in ears.
