Feline infectious enteritis (Known, too, as feline panleukopaenia, cat plague and distemper) This is the chief killer disease of cats. Early inoculations are almost 100% effective and all cats and kittens should be done.

Campylobacter enteritis, a disease of the small intestine, can be caused by contact with contaminated cat feces.
Cat scratch fever is an infection caused by a bacterial agent transmitted to the human via a cat scratch.

Feline panleukopenia, also known as feline infectious enteritis or feline parvoviral disease, is an acute, severe and highly contagious disease primarily of kittens and unvaccinated older cats.

The most widespread and serious infectious disease of cats is panleucopenia--often called cat distemper, viral enteritis, or cat typhoid. Its onset is sudden and severe, with depression, fever, loss of appetite, and vomiting of yellow fluid.

The Feline Enteritis and Influenza shots will last for twelve months and the Veterinarian will advise when future injections are needed and give you a certificate which breeding and boarding catteries require as proof of immunisation.

Like any breed of cat they do need to be vaccinated regularly against cat flu and feline enteritis. They should also be wormed regularly against roundworm and tapeworm especially if they are allowed out to hunt.
