Re "foreign type", "semi- foreign type" and "oriental type"
In what I have seen in breed standards, the long, "tubular" body style and fine boning of a modern style Siamese or Oriental Shorthair is now called "oriental type" in the cat fancy.

Semi-foreign type. The croup is slightly higher than the shoulders. Medium-boned. Well-developed muscles.
Paw: Hind legs slightly longer than forelegs. Well-muscled. Oval paws.

The muscular foreign type body is medium in size with longish legs and neck. The head is a modified wedge with gently rounded contours and a muzzle which slightly broad of the wedge.

The Burmese is an elegant, medium-sized cat of foreign type, very muscular, well developed, with substantial bone structure and surprisingly heavy for its size.

Physically the Abyssinian should have a medium build of foreign type without cobbiness. It is firm, lithe and muscular, and high set on long, slender legs with oval paws. The neck is arched and elegant and the tail long and tapered from a broad base.

"The Singapura is an alert, healthy, small cat of foreign type. The body has good bone structure and is moderately stocky and muscular, yet gives an impression of great elegance.

The Burmilla is a cat of medium foreign type, showing striking contrast between the coloured shading or tipping and the silver undercoat, with delicate tracings of tabby markings on the head, legs and tail.

The Thai is a shorthaired, pointed cat of foreign type. It's moderately long and substantial, supple and lithe, but in no way extreme. The boning is medium-tail, legs, head, all medium-boned.

The Burmilla is elegant and of medium foreign type with a muscular body, long sturdy legs and a moderately thick, long tail. The head is a medium wedge, with large ears, a short nose and large expressive eyes.

The Burmese is a shorthaired and elegant but muscular cat of foreign type. The glossy coat and colours is a distinct feature of the breed created by its slightly pointed coat pattern.

Its body type is considered to be a moderate oriental or foreign type, modeled after the appearance of the old style of Siamese that is often now called a Victorian or an 'apple head'.

The Burmese is a medium sized elegant cat of moderate foreign type, with gently rounded contours, which is characteristic of and quite individual to the breed.

The European Burmese is an elegant cat of foreign type, which is positive and individual to the breed. Any suggestion of either Siamese type or the cobbiness of the British Shorthair must be regarded as a fault.

The Oriental Shorthair is a breed of cat. It is also called a "Foreign Type" cat. This cat combines the Siamese body with a diversity of colorings and patterns.

Semi-Foreign - a little less slender body type or more thick set than foreign type. Example of this type of cats: Devon Rex, Egyptian Mau, Havana Brown, Munchkin, Sphynx.

The pattern is recessive genetically and so rigid requirements must be upheld to maintain and accentuate the proper markings. It is not just a Siamese with white. The body type is a moderate oriental or foreign type and was modelled from the ...
