Glaucoma: Any of a group of eye diseases characterized by abnormally high intraocular fluid pressure, damaged optic disk, hardening of the eyeball, and partial to complete loss of vision.

Glaucoma is usually caused by inflammation and infection in the eye. It can also be caused by:
cataracts
injury
cancer

The intraocular pressure of the cat's eyes will be assessed to rule out glaucoma. The veterinarian tests the pressure inside the eye using an instrument called a 'tonometer.

Sudden Blindness - walking into walls or appears unable to see, immediate vet attention is vital. Possible causes include retinal detachment, liver insufficiency, or glaucoma.
