Hemorrhage

Cat HeatHepatic lipidosis

Hemorrhage: Internal bleeding.
HHP: Household Pet.
Histamines: Chemicals released by the body when antibodies encounter an allergen. These chemicals cause the familiar allergic reactions such as sneezing and watery eyes.

Hemorrhage: Excessive discharge of blood from the blood vessels; profuse bleeding.
Hepatic Lipidosis: A disease of the liver which can be fatal. Most commonly found in obese cats that are anorexic and have rapidly lost weight.

Hemorrhage of the Lung in Cats
Pulmonary contusion, or a hemorrhage of the lung, occurs when the cat's lung is torn and/or crushed during direct trauma to the chest.

Hemorrhage
Continuous loss of blood from a wound or lesion which results from the breaking of veins or arteries. The bleeding should be stopped as quickly as possible by cold compacts and pressure on the wound. Surgery is often required.

Most rat and mouse poisons (e.g.; Warfarin, D-Con) kill rats and mice by eliminating their ability to clot blood, hence, the rodents internally hemorrhage to death. Contained within the poison is the active ingredient coumarin or a derivative.

Hemorrhage is the most common complication of these surgeries, and fresh blood products should be available in case transfusion is necessary during or after surgery.
