Kidney disease is a broad term meaning that the kidneys are not functioning properly.

Feline Kidney Disease
Feline kidney disease can be either chronic or acute. In chronic kidney failure, the function of the kidneys deteriorate slowly, whereas in acute kidney failure the onset is sudden, without any prior warning.
