Every color and pattern is allowable with the exception of those showing hybridization resulting in the colors chocolate, lavender/lilac, the Himalayan pattern, or these combinations with white. The color and pattern should be clear and distinct.

The true color is a real lavender-blue, of such softness and brilliancy that it shines like silver in a strong light.

They can be found in solid colors (white, red, chocolate, cream, ebony, blue, lavender, cinnamon, or fawn), smoke (white undercoat to any of the above except white), shaded (only the hair tips colored), parti-color (red or cream splashes on any of the above), tabby (mackerel/striped, ticked, ...

As the name suggests, this breed is selected for its coloring, which is chocolate brown, lavender, or a combination of the two. The coat will usually be lighter colored while the York is a kitten, but will develop into a rich, silky, chocolate colored coat with maturity.

The accepted coat colors are tawny spotted, cinnamon spotted, chocolate spotted, blue spotted, fawn spotted, lavender spotted, ebony silver spotted, cinnamon silver spotted, chocolate silver spotted, blue silver spotted, fawn silver spotted and lavender silver spotted.

The coat is short and glossy, and show quality ocicats possess round or thumbprint-shaped spots that come in 12 colors, including tawny, chocolate, cinnamon, blue, lavender, fawn and six shades of silver.

Similarly, you can plant lavender, citronella, lemon, and thyme in your garden. You can also opt for growing cacti or a bed of prickly roses on the perimeter of your garden. Rue is another plant, which repels cats. But this plant can be toxic to cats, if they happen to ingest its parts.

The Ocicat's spotted coat comes in 12 recognized colors: tawny, chocolate, cinnamon, blue, fawn, lavender, ebony-silver, chocolate-silver, cinnamon-silver, blue-silver, fawn-silver, and lavender-silver. If you look closely, you will note that each hair contains several bands of color.

Solid chocolate and solid lavender Persians are known the Kashmir in CFF. It is still called Kashmir in some older cat breed books. CFF also makes a distinction between the Persian and the Pekefaced Persian. A Pekefaced Persian is a Persian with an extreme flat face, like that of a Pekingese dog.

Today, there is a large variety of colors in Turkish Angora cats including black, red, blue, lavender, smoke, etc. The eyes of the Turkish Angora cats are blue, green or amber. Some Turkish Angora cats, however, may be odd-eyed- i.e they have one blue eye and the other green or amber.

Imagine a Siamese wearing a head to toe coat in white, red, cream, ebony, blue, chestnut, lavender, cinnamon or fawn. These are our solids. For a sparkling undercoat, stir in the silver gene (to all but the white), and you have a smoke Oriental.

Who doesn't love a spotted cat? Random spots in tawny, chocolate, cinnamon, blue, lavender or fawn dot the Ocicat's coat, which has a silver or nonsilver background. The wild look is just a façade, though. The Ocicat is a playful, sociable pet.

It is distinguished by its semi-long hair, soft, silky coat, and plumed tail. As its name implies, the cat is known for its chocolate coloring, and comes only in solid chocolate or lavender, or solid chocolate and white or lavender and white bicolor. It is not widely recognized.

It has a long lean body reflecting some Siamese ancestry, but is a large cat. In addition to solid chocolate, it comes in chocolate and white bicolour, lavender (dilute of chocolate) and lavender and white bicolour.

The American Wirehair is acceptable in all coat varieties with the exception of the colorpoint, solid chocolate and solid ~. It is a must that the cat have the wiry appearance of the coat for show purposes.
