The wedge Siamese is far more elongated and more extreme in body type than the Traditional. The name "wedge" derives from the wedge-shaped head, like a triangle, very sharp and pointed.

Lynx points seem to be the most popular pattern. There is nothing quite so dramatic as silvery stripes on a seal point background. Lynx points also come in blue, chocolate, lilac, red and cream point colors along with all possible tortie point colors.

Seal Lynx Point:

Ground colour should be ivory to cream. Pattern can vary in colour from dark seal brown, light brown, tan, or buff, with the light spectacles, whisker pads, and chin.

1964 was the year of the imported Tabby Points, then known as the Lynx Points. The first matched pair came to my Bluemead Cattery in 1964 just before my big move to Victoria.

The lynx point cats are seal. chocolate. blue. lilac. red. cream. seal-tortoiseshell. chocolate-tortoiseshell. blue-cream. cinnamon. fawn and lilac-cream. The tortoiseshell point pattern coats are seal. cinnamon and chocolate.

While the Ragdoll is accepted in only four colors and three patterns, the RagaMuffin also comes in red point, lynx point, and tortie point, as well as the spectrum of Persian colors and patterns, plus mitted and mitted with blaze.

Some associations also accept red, cream, tortie and lynx points while the International Cat Association accepts many other point colours, including cinnamon and fawn. Eyes are found round and blue with a sweet expression.

Colors and Coats Types Available - A Birman is a color pointed cat with a long silky coat which very seldom mats as it has no undercoat. They have white feet and come in a variety of colors including the seal, blue, chocolate, lilac, lynx points, ...

They have long, tube-shaped bodies, wedge-shaped heads and big ears, just like Siamese. Their coats come in a wider variety of colors and patterns than the Siamese cats, however: for instance, red point, cream point, lynx point, and tortie point.

They are available in seal, blue, chocolate, and lilac point colors, either with or without markings on the face and feet. In some associations, they are also available in nonstandard colors, such as red and lynx point.

The eye colour is independent of the coat color except in the lynx points. The round tipped ears are medium to small, relatively short, set well apart and pointing forward when view in profile.
