Tapering to slightly longer hair on ruff, britches, belly and tail; ruff-slight, mutton chops desirable; texture-non-matting, resilient; density-double coat.
The bib consists of three separate sections: short collar at neck, side mutton chops and full frontal ruff. Britches are full on hind legs. The body coat is long and flowing. Allowances are to be made for seasonal changes.
Heavy brows with bushier hair above the eyes, lynx tipping on the ears and longer "mutton chops" on the cheeks complete the Pixie-Bob's wild look. The tail can measure from 1 to 6 inches in length.
Double coat consists of dense undercoat covered by long, glossy, and smooth water-resistant guard hairs; frontal ruff; collar at neck; side mutton chops; britches on hind legs; softer coats permitted in shaded, solid, and bicolor cats.
