Peterbalds look a lot like Oriental Shorthair cats. They are very slim in body size, have large ears which are set far apart, and large almond shaped eyes.

The Peterbald is the newest hairless breed. They are descended from the Russian Don Hairless breed with outcrosses to Oriental and Siamese cats.

The Peterbald is the newest hairless breed. They are descended from the Russian Don Hairless breed with outcrosses to Oriental and Siamese cats.
Peterbald coats are divided: Bald and Hairy: Bald is further divided into Ultra Bald, Flock or Chamois, and Velour; Hairy into Brush and Straight. Ultra Bald kittens are born without hair and never grow any.
Peterbalds are usually sweet-tempered, peaceful, curious, smart and energetic. Peterbalds love their family members and need to communicate with them; they are not a loner type of cat.
The first Peterbalds were born in Russian in January, 1994, the result of breeding a Tortie, Traditional Oriental Shorthair named, Radma Vom Jagerhof, to a light-boned Oriental looking Donskoy named, Afinogen Myth. The breeder was Olga S. Mironova.

Peterbald or Russian Peterbald - this is a hybrid cat breed, created by crossing a Donskoy or Don Hairless with Siamese cats and Oriental cats.
Levkoy or Ukrainian Levkoy Cat - this is a newer hybrid cat breed, a hairless cat with folded ears.
This is a type of coat in the Don Sphynx and Peterbald.
Usually Don Sphynx and Peterbald are nacked. But there is a coat type which has wavy, quite stiff short hairs, uneven and with bare patches on the head, the neck and the back.
