EARS - large, pricked, wide at the base, flared, with good width between and continuing the line of the wedge. N.B. In kittens, the ears may appear to be oversized and fall outside the line of the wedge. Allowance may be made for this.

The ears are pricked and point forward. The tail swishes side to side sometimes. This last piece of behavior may be because the cat is hunting in an unnatural environment that is too open and which does not provide enough cover.

When she's alert, they're pricked forward, when she's nervous, they're twitched back and when she's frightened or angry, they're completely flat to her head.

Head has a straight profile and firm chin. Ears are large and pricked, wide at base, continuing the line of the wedge.
Expression should be one of alertness and intelligence.

EYES
Large, almond in shape, set well apart, bright and expressive.Colour: Amber, green or yellow.

Physical Attributes: Medium in size; rectangular muzzle; head slightly longer than it is wide; large, erect ears, pricked slightly forward; long legs; short to medium-length coat.

All Scottish Fold kittens are born with straight ears. Only about 50% will go on to develop folded ears, the rest will retain their straight (or pricked) ears. It takes around three weeks before the ears will fold if they are going to.

The face retains the tabby markings of the 'M' on the forehead, however the rest of the cat should be free of tabby markings. The ears are large and pricked forwards and the expression is alert and curious.

The ears are relatively large, set well apart and pricked, broad and cupped at the base. Set as though listening. They are slightly rounded at the tips with a thumb mark; tufts at the tips are desirable. Neck slender.
