Cat Skin Allergies
There are more than 500 million domestic cats in the world, with 33 different breeds. They are one of the most common pets. Their relationship with humans can be traced back to over 9,500 years. The number of pet cats in the U.S.

Many pets suffer from skin allergies. These are commonly caused by contact with an irritant substance. Certain grasses and plants can set up an allergic response in the animal when it lies on the vegetation.

Other than some issues relating to skin allergies, and the occasional occurrence of a disease known as ataxia, which is characterised by shaky movements, Turkish Angoras are typically free of health issues.

Are there any cat health problems associated with this breed? One website says that peach colored cats of this breed may have a propensity to acquire skin allergies - no idea if that is true (see feline allergies).
