This is one of my first times using the Net and first, I must commend you on how well you promote the dietitian as the expert on reliable and professional nutritional information.

 


Nutraceuticals: are natural or chemically engineered 'extracts' derived from a variety of plants. Examples of these would be beta-carotene (organic compound), antioxidants (molecules and enzymes), and flavonoids (metabolites).

Nutraceuticals—also called functional foods, these products are marketed as having health benefits or disease-preventing qualities beyond their basic supply of energy and nutrients.

Other nutraceuticals have shown moderate success in reducing body weight, whereas several other compounds have demonstrated little or no effect.

Dr Phil's used to (controversially) endorse the Shape Up brand of 'weight loss' products made by CSA Nutraceuticals. He no longer does, and the products are no longer made by the company.

was the latter, you might want to take a look at your refrigerator, kitchen cupboard, and dinner table for one of the culprits. Aging happens to all of us, of course. There's no way to put the brakes on it, no matter what the latest 'nutraceuticals' ...
