Burke and coworkers (1943) conducted an observational study of 216 mothers giving birth to single infants in Boston and found a significant correlation between average daily protein intake and birth length and birth weight.

A two-wave, 5-year observational study with all measures at both times.
Obesity Study Subjects
A total of 2123 subjects, 50 years of age and older, who participated in the 1994 and 1999 waves of the Alameda County Study.

A large observational study also found that people who ate oil and vinegar dressing on salads five to six times a week had lower rates of heart disease than people who didn't. However, it's far from clear that the vinegar was the reason.
