The Doctor's Quick Weight Loss Diet (The Stillman Diet) was created by Irwin Maxwell Stillman, M.D. in 1967. It's an early form of the high-protein and low-carbohydrate diets.

 


Maxwell Stillman of the Stillman Diet was one of the first to advocate a high protein, no carbohydrate, low fat diet for fast weight loss. In the 1990s, diet books promoting high protein diets began to appear on bestseller lists.
