Airborne diseases refers to any diseases which are caused by pathogenic microbial agents and transmitted through the air. Airborne diseases effect humans get discharged through coughing, sneezing, laughing or through close personal contact.

 


Although primarily an airborne disease, farmers and gardeners may become infected from contact with spores in the soil through cuts and scrapes.

tuberculosis (TB) - a chronic bacterial infection that usually infects the lungs, although other organs may be involved. TB is primarily an airborne disease (spread by air droplets from infected people when they cough or sneeze).

Though many with careers in health care have received vaccinations for small pox, a risky vaccination in itself, some airborne diseases could harm health care workers as much as patients, creating a disastrous medical emergency.

This is an airborne disease and is minimally contagious. It is spread by person-to-person transmission.
