Stereoanesthesia or Astereognosia?

anosognosia The apparent unawareness of or failure to recognize one's own functional defect (e.g., hemiplegia, hemianopsia).

Acute injury to the nondominant parietal lobe may cause neglect of the contralateral side (usually the left), resulting in decreased awareness of that part of the body, its environment, and any associated injury to that side (anosognosia).

It is sometimes called "organic denial," or anosognosia, and is a condition that may last a lifetime.
