Avolition

Avolition
An inability to initiate and persist in goal-directed activities. When severe enough to be considered pathological, avolition is pervasive and prevents the person from completing many different types of activities (e.g.

Delusions
Hallucinations
Disorganized speech
Grossly disorganized or catatonic behavior
Negative symptoms: (e.g., anhedonia, avolition) ...

Inability to experience pleasure (anhedonia)
General feeling of discomfort or restlessness (dysphoria)
Having little to say
Lack of motivation or persistence (avolition)
Tendency toward underperformance in school or work settings ...
