Bullying is more than just physical aggression
Bullying is the deliberate desire by one or more people to hurt, threaten or frighten someone with words, behaviour or actions. Bullying can vary in its severity.

Children with ADHD are often targets for bullies because they are ‘different’.

Bullying is a complex problem that can involve not only your child, but also the staff and faculty of your child's school. At Children's, doctors are sure to look out for signs that your child is the victim of bullying.

Bullying is when a person(s) harasses another person. Bullies can exist at school, in your neighborhood or other places but you know who they are because they make fun of people or tease them in person.

Bullying is not a normal part of childhood, and children who experience bullying may continue to feel its effects into adulthood.

Bullying occurs when a person is repeatedly, and over time, exposed to negative comments or actions by another person.

What is bullying?
Bullying is acting in ways that scare or harm another person. Kids who bully usually pick on someone who is weaker or more alone, and they repeat the actions over and over.

Bullying - Characteristics Of Children Who Bully
Children who are both bullies and victims use alcohol and/or carry a weapon more than children not affected by bullying.

For example: starting school, arrival of a new baby, illness, bullying, abuse.
Drinks and foods that contain caffeine. These include tea, coffee, cola and chocolate. Caffeine increases the amount of urine made by the kidneys (it is a diuretic).

Meeting teachers and attending meetings and joining committees to discuss school safety and crisis prevention issues such as anti-bullying policies are great ways of connecting with and advocating for one's child.
