Calciphylaxis is a serious, uncommon disease in which calcium accumulates in small blood vessels of the fat tissue and the skin. People with this condition usually have kidney failure or are on dialysis.

 


Calciphylaxis: Calciphylaxis is a rare disorder of systemic arterial calcification causing ischemia and necrosis in localized areas of the fat and skin of the trunk, buttocks, and lower extremities.
