Cervical polyps are fingerlike growths on the lower part of the uterus that connects with the vagina (cervix).

A cervical polyp is a common benign polyp or tumour on the surface of the cervical canal. They can cause irregular menstrual bleeding but often show no symptoms.

Cervical polyps are projectile growths originating from the mucosal surface of the cervix or endocervical canal. These small, fragile growths hang from a stalk and protrude through the cervical opening.

Cervical polyps are caused by an overgrowth of normal tissue. They are relatively common and most do not cause symptoms.

Cervical polyps are formed when a group of cells, such as blood vessels within the cervix, form an abnormal growth. Cervical polyps are relatively common. They are seen more often in women over 20 years of age who have given birth to many children.
