Actinic cheilitis
Overview
Actinic cheilitis: Degeneration of the lip due to sun damage. The condition is considered precancerous.

Cheilitis may also occur as a reaction to prescription medication. While this is a relatively rare occurrence, an outbreak of chapped lips should be reported to the physician immediately.

Cheilitis: Inflammation of the lips or of a lip. Cheilitis can also be spelled chilitis.
