Chlorinated lime

Chlorinated lime is a white powder used for bleaching or disinfecting. Chlorinated lime poisoning occurs when someone swallows chlorinated lime.

Disinfection is carried out by stripping off paper, previously soaked with a solution of chlorinated lime (12(12 oz. to the gallon), and washing the bare walls, ceiling, floor and everything washable with the same solution.
