Dyshidrosis, also termed Dyshidrotic Eczema, Pompholyx, Acute vesiculobullous hand eczema, and Dyshidrotic Dermatitis, is a skin condition that is characterized by small blisters on the hands or feet.

Overview, Causes, & Risk Factors
This blistering type of eczema is twice as common in women than men.

Dyshidrotic eczema can affect people of any age but appears to be more common in men between the ages of 20 and 50. There seems to be a genetic component to the disorder. It is probably caused by an allergic response to something in the environment.
