Floppy valve syndrome (Mitral valve prolapse): Abnormal bulging of part of the mitral valve's cusps backward into the atrium during the contraction of the heart.

Mitral valve prolapse, also known as click-murmur syndrome, Barlow's syndrome, balloon mitral valve, or floppy valve syndrome, is the bulging of one or both of the mitral valve flaps (leaflets) into the left atrium during the contraction of the heart.

Also known as click-murmur syndrome, Barlow's syndrome, balloon mitral valve, or floppy valve syndrome, this condition is characterized by a bulging of one or both of the mitral valve flaps during the contraction of the heart.
