Disease Hammer toeHamstring

Hammertoes are caused by a contraction of the joints. Hammertoes can be either rigid or flexible. Flexible hammertoes are more responsive to nonsurgical treatment than toes that are rigidly contracted and cannot be pressed flat.

A hammertoe is a toe that's curled due to a bend in the middle joint of a toe. Mallet toe is similar, but affects the upper joint of a toe. Otherwise, any differences between hammertoe and mallet toe are subtle.

Hammertoe and mallet toe
Introduction
A hammertoe is a toe that's curled due to a bend in the middle joint of a toe. Mallet toe is similar, but affects the upper joint of a toe. The differences between hammertoe and mallet toe are subtle.

hammertoe - a permanent sideways bend in the middle toe joint.
hamstrings - muscles located in the posterior compartment of the thigh.

hammertoe - a permanent sideways bend in the middle toe joint.
heat exhaustion - a form of heat-related illness that is more severe than heat cramps and results from a loss of water and salt in the body.

A hammertoe is a condition in which the toe buckles, causing the middle joint of the affected toe to poke out. This condition is often aggravated by tight-fitting shoes that put pressure on the hammertoe. Often a corn develops at this site.

Foot deformities, such as high arches and hammertoes (a condition in which the middle joint of a toe bends upwards) are also characteristic due to weakness of the small muscles in the feet.

Physicians may also opt for surgery to remove corns by correcting malformations of the toes. Toes that do not bend well, sometimes called hammertoes, can cause corns to form.

Rheumatoid arthritis can cause deformities such as misshapen fingers, bunions, hammertoe, and knock-knees. The affected joints are swollen and warm. Bumps called rheumatoid nodules can occur on the back of the elbow under the skin.

Although bunions can be an inherited condition that occurs in families, shoes that are too small are the primary cause of bunions, and other disabling foot problems such as corns, calluses and hammertoes.

Peripheral neuropathy may also cause muscle weakness and loss of reflexes, especially at the ankle, leading to changes in gait (walking). Foot deformities, such as hammertoes and the collapse of the midfoot, may occur.

in people with diabetes, including skin changes (loss of hair; loss of ability to sweat; and dry, cracked skin), arterial insufficiency (impaired blood supply to feet), neuropathy, and specific foot deformities (hallux valgus, bunion, hammertoe, ...
