A hernia is a condition where the inner layers of the abdominal wall become so weak that the lining of the abdomen bulges out into a small sac.
Hernia repair: Also called a herniorrhaphy, a surgical repair of a hernia. Hernia repair may be done under local or general anesthesia using a conventional incision or a laparoscope.
