Recurrent Osteosarcoma and Malignant Fibrous Histiocytoma of Bone
Recurrent osteosarcoma and malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH) of bone are cancers that have recurred (come back) after being treated.

A dermatofibroma is also sometimes called a fibrous histiocytoma. It is due to a non-cancerous growth of dermal dendritic histiocyte cells. In some cases it arises at the site of a minor injury, especially an insect bite or thorn prick.

Histiocytoma
A common neoplasm of young dogs composed of round histiocytic cells, thought to be Langerhan's cells. Most tumors spontaneously regress.

Malignant fibrous histiocytoma - This sarcoma starts in either a type of primitive immune cells called histiocytes or in cells that make fibrous (connecting) tissue. It usually appears as an area of bone destruction on X-rays.

Malignant Fibrous Histiocytoma Bone Cancer
Malignant fibrous histiocytoma is a type of bone cancer that often affects the knee area and the arms. Learn more about this type of cancer at EverydayHealth.com.

A malignant fibrous histiocytoma is a type of cancerous tumor that can start in either bone or, most often, in the soft tissues that connect, support or surround organs and other body parts.

Malignant fibrous histiocytomas (MFH)
These are cancers that start in fibrous tissue cells called histiocytes. MFH is one type of a group of tumours called spindle cell sarcomas.

Other rare types of primary bone tumour include fibrosarcoma, leiomyosarcoma, malignant fibrous histiocytoma, angiosarcoma and chordoma.
What causes primary bone cancer?

Incidences of this cancer appear in adults between the ages of 30 and 40. Malignant fibrous histiocytomas (MFH) occur in the fibrous tissues of the legs of older people.

The most common forms of bone cancer are osteosarcoma, Ewing's sarcoma, chondrosarcoma, malignant fibrous histiocytoma, fibrosarcoma, and chordoma. Pain is the most common symptom.
